The way that I serve our parish is by providing the spiritual and temporal leadership we need to live out our Catholic faith as the Church desires. I work to ensure that your spiritual needs are met, and that our parish provides good education and formation for all its members, especially our children and youth. All of this takes place on a church campus that I must ensure is taken care of and meets our needs.

In working under the direction of our Pastor Fr. Vogel, the way that I will serve the parish is by helping ensure that your spiritual needs are met and that our parish provides a good education and formation for all its members, especially our children and youth. Although I will be learning and observing how many of the administrative aspects of the parish and school are done, my primary focus will be on helping with the Sacramental needs of the parish and school.

It is my profound pleasure as the Parochial vicar to assist the Pastor of the Parish, and to collaborate with other Staff in the guidance and direction of the Parish to ensure that its vision and mission is effectively realized. Here are some specific ways that I can be of assistance to you:

  • Celebrate Sunday and Weekday Masses as scheduled.
  • Perform other Sacramental duties such Baptism, Marriage, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Funerals as scheduled and needed.
  • Be on call for emergency Anointing of the sick and Viaticum in collaboration with the Pastor.
  • Bring Holy Communion to the homebound Parishioners.
  • Spiritual direction as requested and appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Pastor.

I serve St. Paul’s as a permanent deacon. That means I help with weekend Masses, baptisms, weddings, funerals and graveside services. I can also help with blessings houses. At St. Paul’s, my wife and I teach the baptism and marriage prep classes. We oversee the tamale sales, and the Posadas.

I help oversee major celebrations in our community such as Our Lady of Guadalupe. I can bless house, Preside at weddings and funerals, and be of assistance to those who need it.

It is my pleasure to serve the community of St. Paul’s as Director of Ministries. I am the Liaison between all the important and wonderful groups and ministries in our community and the parish. I oversee the Directors of Youth Ministry and Religious Education as we work to continually improve our support for families and youth along their journey in faith.

  • Foster collaboration between and provide assistance and support for groups and ministries
  • Assist groups and ministries in providing appropriate communication, formation, education, training to their members

I serve St Paul’s Parish and School as our Financial Controller. I’m responsible for all of our Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables. I generate all financial information for the Business Office and the Finance Councils and assist in Budget Development. I am also responsible for the Payrolls for all of our entities. I process all bank reconciliations for our accounts. I generate end of the year contribution statements and assist Parishioners with any follow up questions or concerns. I am also responsible for finances for St Joseph’s Mission Parish (Melba, Idaho), Our Lady of Tears (Silver City) and our Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Although numbers are my thing, I always enjoy working with Parishioners, ushering at our masses and working with our Ministry team on our many projects here at St Paul’s.

I am Jeffrey Cowman, a life-long Catholic, husband and father. I serve St. Paul’s by overseeing all of our buildings and maintenance. My role is to ensure that our properties are safe, maintained, and well taken care of. This includes our new church, old church and school, Marist hall, and the 2900 Building.

The mission of St. Paul’s Middle and High School Youth Ministry (SPY Ministry) is to create an environment which leads youth and their families into an ongoing relationship with God through Jesus Christ and His Church. Together with the youth, families, parish community, and Core Team, we work to create a deeper understanding of the Church and the Faith, providing a community in which we can all grow in God’s love. Specific ways SPY Ministry serves our community:


  • Praying for our youth and parish community
  • Developing and providing formation for Core Team
  • First Communion, Confirmation, and RCIT preparation
  • Providing support for parents, empowering them as first teachers of the faith
  • Co-directing annual Jr. High Rally and Jr. High Camp

In collaboration with the Pastor, I’m responsible of overseeing the formation and education of the children of the parish from pre-school through 5th grade. This includes elements of catechesis, evangelization, spirituality and guidance for child learners. Here are some specific ways that I can help you.

  • Registering and placing children in catechism classes
  • Coordinate RCIA (Baptism) for Children over the age of 7
  • Coordinate First Communion Retreat, First Confession and First Communion
  • Supervise the recruitment and work of volunteer catechists

It is my humble and profound honor to serve as Director of Music Ministry. In this role, I work with our group leaders and music ministers to ensure that our collective efforts exemplify professional-level music in support of liturgy, and for the benefit of our parish. I also work in support of our Tech Ministry, which maintains and operates our sound reinforcement, video and security systems.
