The sadness of death should give way in our liturgy to the promise of resurrected life. Our celebration of a person's life should reflect our conviction that in Jesus Christ we have life beyond life.

St. Paul's offers parishioners and friends the complete rites as a means of consolation for the living and grace-filled assistance for the deceased. These rites, which include a funeral Mass and the possibility of a vigil service at the funeral home in the presence of their faith community

Once you have contacted the funeral home, you may contact Carol Amador, via email at or by calling 208-466-7031 Ext. 4444. She will set up an appointment to meet with your family. She will assist in working with the funeral home and every detail they will need in planning your loved one's funeral Mass. If you call after hours, please leave your name, phone number, and the name of the person who has passed away.

In your meeting you will discuss:

  • Scheduling the date of Vigil or a Rosary prior to the funeral
  • Choosing music and readings.
  • Verifying burial or inurnment location, date, and time.
  • Details on how to include family/friends in the Mass.
  • Discuss funeral reception luncheon and costs.

Once the funeral services are completed you are not alone. We offer a Greivement ministry that meets here at the parish and offers support and encouragement for your grief journey. For more information, please contact the parish office for the meeting dates and times 208-466-7031
